A splitter basically splits the signal taken from one end e.g. a TV and split that into two components. There are many splitters available in market e.g. the dvi splitter, hdmi splitter.
The best use of the hdmi splitter is to switch the signal received from a single hdmi input into two devices. It is very easy to install the hdmi splitter, one end of the hdmi splitter is connected to the hdmi port of the television and the rest two devices where the display is to be received are connected to the splitter end. It is very much helpful whenever the same content is to be displayed on multiple televisions and there is no need to use additional cables as it saves the money and also saves space. It prevents from using the jumbled cables.
